Ventricular Septal defect is when the bottom two chambers of the heart have a hole in them. VSD is the most common heart birth defect and can decrease the amount of oxygenated blood your
body gets.
Atrial Septal Defect is when the top two chambers of the heart have a hole in them. In a case of ASD, oxygen rich blood in the left atrium gets mixed with the oxygen poor blood in the right atrium.
